The ancient world seen from medieval glosses
The ancient world seen from medieval glosses is a research project funded by the Swiss National Foundation (SNSF). It aims to create a THESAURUS of medieval glosses and commentaries, mainly Horatian and Ovidian, in order to observe how exegesis permitted the rethinking of ancient knowledge and the construction of cultural foundations common to the whole Europe. The THESAURUS will consist of articles that will be published on Mirabile. The project also includes the edition of Pace da Ferrara's commentary on Goffrey of Vinsauf's Poetria nova. This project is coordinated by the University of Zurich and is advised by an international advisory board. Click HERE to read more about the project

Mirabile-Atlas with ZKSchindler Foundation
The Mirabile-Atlas project, jointly sustained by SISMEL and the ZKSchindler Foundation, has begun to include resources related to Umbria and Marche regions after those concerning Tuscany. The goal is to make documents related to places and owners, accompanied by manuscripts, authors and works, searchable with special reference to indexing individual items in inventories of medieval libraries, purchase notes and testamentary bequests. The results will be published on a dedicated map in Mirabile.
New features will include a user interface for extensive search options: the project will allow searching by places, institutions, manuscripts and especially authors, with the possibility to carry out a query in both inventories and manuscripts database. Searching by works is also expected to be developed. This project is integrated into AIM. Archivio integrato per il Medioevo (SISMEL) and profits of the resources of most of the projects therein.

Atlante dei Luoghi della Cultura Scritta della Toscana Medievale
The revision and enrichment of codicological descriptions of manuscripts in the Nuovo_Codex, ABC and Madoc databases continues. This activity aims to increase the number of manuscripts present in the Tuscan territory in the medieval period available in the map Atlante dei Luoghi della Cultura Scritta nella Toscana Medievale.
Up until 10th February 2023, 355 institutions and 3400 manuscripts have been added to the map. At the same time, the acquisition of Tuscan manuscripts not previously present in the databases continues, both through descriptions derived from catalogues and through autoptic checking.

ArsNova
Over the course of the last six months, the ArsNova database has been further implemented. Both the catalogue (CANT) and the metrical repertory (ANS) have been expanded with new records. Within the Mirabile portal the research interface of the ANS has been revised in order to perform more advanced searches.
The project is currently developing ATLAS, the new section of the ArsNova database, that will allow users to search authors and manuscripts on the interactive map.

Among the latest publications there is:

Polyphonic Voices: Poetic and Musical Dialogues in the European Ars Nova, cur. Anna Alberni, Antonio Calvia, Maria Sofia Lannutti, Firenze, SISMEL 2021 (La tradizione musicale. Studi e testi 22) AVAILABLE IN OPEN ACCESS
